  3. don't need much radiator if you're only going 1320 ft at a time and maybe its onloy got rear brakes, uh and a bag of laundry. :D :D :D

I really cannot believe that this one is still alive, that is one motor that got a whole lotta love for sure.

  4. Actually it is revving without a load. The headers on about any mill will do that. That is why the paint typically burns off a set of headers when you break a cam in. I usually try to not paint the headers until after the cam is broken in on my personal cars.

Looks like it connected into the cowl area ......so's it could
"suck-off" the cool air in front of the windshield ! :)
Suck'in-off is always a great idea....cool moving air vs hot under hood air is wayyy better.:)
By suck'in-it-off ...in front of the windshield...would that provide enough air to keep that big Holley happy?!o_O

That top shot of the street digger sure has gotten around! I took it at the '77 Nats at St. Paul - I think my follow-on close-up is around here somewhere...aha...

Red shop rags to keep the St. Paul dust out ... a hunk of cardboard to block off the carbs ... and a giant tarantula to dissuade the over-curious!

(To be honest, that's a scan of a photo from a negative that was grossly overexposed before I realized the battery in my light meter had died. Hey, I was a 19 year old geek in motorhead heaven...I wasn't paying attention to the details.)

It's a late model Mustang with a SOHC engine swap. Saw at Mecum Kissimmee. 20220106_141929.jpg

Looks like General Jerry Lee went from the old ho-hum 392 Hemi to a little Ford power for his wheel stander. Must be nice....

I wondered the same thing? I didn't see Jerry or Hoss around to ask them.
