I need help identifying a 9" I picked up...anyone know an online source? I did a search and yeilded nothing...I swear that thing doesnt work, ha
Yea the tag reads WDX L OB19 2 47 9 S560 I know is a 2.47:1 ratio, just was curious what it was out of, I thought it was a bronco, but the with that ratio I dont know. By glance I thought it was the 4.5 bolt pattern, but I could have been mistaken.
if it has 5-1/2" bolt pattern axles it's a half ton, 5" it's a big car, 4-1/2" it's a midsize car quick google for "wdx-l" does not turn up anything
Check here ... http://www.fordification.com/rearends-ford.htm But check your number again and make sure ... No WDX listed but the listing stops at 1972 ...
Hollander interchange manual. Alot of the Granadas and Monarchs with a 351 W had a 9 inch, sonetimes a disc one.
Ahh, alright... well 72 was casted in the center section housing, and I swear it was a WDX, but I shall check... We are getting closer, THANKS GUYS
That sounds exactly right 58" is dead on for a granada. A ford part number would tell the tale perfectly.
So, I'm trying to identify the year as well as other info from this 9" that I purchased. Went to fordifacation but couldn't find these numbers. The gear ratio is 3.00 but other than that I'm in the dark. Any help, I would be appreciative. Thanks
Squirrel nailed the date, these will clarify. From the 47th edition Hollander which covers 75 thru 85. Will that be all today?
C2SA is 1962 Thunderbird... (ford part number breakdown: C is 1960s, 2 is specific year, S is the Thunderbird line) looks like @theHIGHLANDER didn't catch that the thread is 18 years old! and we have a new question to answer
