Got this flathead ford intake, aluminum for a single two barrel carb, it has no markings on it so I assume its a OEM part. Its got somewhat of a high rise built into to it. Ive never seen a stock aluminum intake for a flathead, just wondering if you all have ever seen one. Did they use these on trucks?

Ford produced aluminum intake for a number of years in the 30's. 1937 and 1938, I think. If those aren't the right years, I am sure someone will correct me. They seem to show up at swap meets quite a bit. I don't believe there is anything special about them other than the material.

  3. Not too unusual. My 34 pickup came with one on it.
