FORD Cargo King Y- Block..???

  1. Found this on the net for..$300.00...came out of a fire truck..around 20,000 miles on it..comes with tranny..wondering..size of engine???...HP..??? .....looks like a 2 barrel..Never heard about these..tell me about them..anyone..

    Looks like a Lincoln. 317 I bet.

    my guess is 317 341 or 368 and im leaning to 368 ford truck engine , ray:cool:
     

  6. I believe they are the same as the big lincoln Y block. Drove a flatbed hay truck with one in it when I was a kid. lots of grunt as I recall.

    yes is a Y block lincoln 317

    The truck version of the Lincoln engine came in 279, 302, and 332 sizes. They were made to run all day at around 3200 RPM's.
