Ford cowl interchangeability

I'm in the middle of building my AV8 roadster and have a slight problem, I have a mint condition 28-29 body but I really like clean lines of the 30-31 cowl, is there any way to get this later cowl to work with the earlier rear section? If so pics would be appreciated to get an idea on the outcome.
