Hey to all of you, I am from Germany and do not have so much knowleadge about US vintage cars, especially if it comes to spare parts... But since 20019, I am a proud owner of a real nice 56 Ford Customline in very well condition, but now, the headliner really starts to "decompose". A very slight touch and it tears apart... Especially in the back around the rear window. Now I found several tailormade (or maybe not) headliners at ebay or decent spare parts suppliers like stockinteriors.com or wlsheadliners.com, only to name 2 of what I can find via Google.. My biggest both problems: 1. what is the real right material? I assume it is not PVC, but napped cotton, right? At leats, it is cotton installed so far, which looks like 100% original. I do not like the PVC punched versions.. 2. my car is a 4-door limousine, guess it is called sedan and not hardtop?! Several suppliers sell same tailormade headliner for 2 door and 4 door, some make a difference between. Many do not even have a 4 door 56 Ford Customline headliner, but for 2 door. My question: what will fit my car??? Can I also look for a different model like maybe the 56 Ford Fairlane 4-door? Which cars / models will have the exact same headliner like my 4-door sedan Ford Customline from 56? At the end: maybe, you already have a very good experience with replacing a tasilormade headliner made of napped cotton: maybe you can tell me who manufactured this headliner or sold it to you? I would really appreciate a heplful expert answer. Thansk to all and enjoy the day!! Take care, Marco
