Is there a small cap with male posts for a duraspark dizzy?I have a duraspark in my 351C and the cap hits the top hose plus I really don't like the looks of that big cap.If one is made I'm sure some one out there knows about it.

  2. The early electronic had a small cap, or you can put the duraspark guts in a points distributer. I have a buddy that's kind of stuck in the '80s and runs V-8 Pintos all the time. He always has a small cap electronic, normally he puts the guts from a stock electronic dizzy in a points body.

The early points style cap and rotor will fit your distrbutor but you will have to change the ends on the wires. I never have seen a small diameter cap that had th e male end that would fit the stock distributor. MSD used to make one for their distrrbutors but it has been awhile since I looked.

If you use the small diameter cap, make sure your wires and plugs are in good condition or you may get crossfire inside the cap. That is why Ford went to the larger diameter.
