I purchased some fittings to repair the plastic fuel line for fords. Directions say soak the line in hot water than install the barbed fitting. Anyone ever used these and had any luck with them?

Make sure the barbed fitting is clean and in good shape, get all your stuff together so you can move fast. You got one shot at putting it together for good. Follow the directions and you'll be fine. Feeling a little paranoid without any clamps? Slap one or two zip-strips on it (try to use the kind designed for hoses that have the curved zip-heads that follow the contour of the hose) and forget about it.

1 more thing, get ya some caliper ***y lube and put some on the barb, it'll go together a hell of a lot easier....

Yeah, I use them every once in a while. Don't be scared, they actually work quite well.
