I've got a 61 and it's on the top of passenger side frame rail by the front tire

Is it visible from inside the engine compartment? Is it centered over the front axle or in front of/behind it? On the top of the frame rail or on the side of the frame rail?

sorry for all the questions, just want to minimize wire wheel time.

It's on the top of the frame rail you can see it looking down over the fender but I can't remember exactly. Sorry

Is the vin number stamped anywhere else on the body?

2 vin numbers on the top of the passenger frame rail.... one near the starter (as stated above) and one more under the cab.
