Yeah, it was pretty sweet, my wife and I were just out looking for some garage sales, and as we passed this park, I saw some old cars out of the corner of my eye and I hit the brakes, "Car show" I tell her. So we stopped and as we walked up, "Fairlane Club of America" There was probably 50 Fairlanes, plenty of 63, 64 and 66's, plus a bunch of the other years scattered in there. All in mostly very good condition, while some were in excellent condition, from stock to hot rodded. It was a nice little treat for a Saturday afternoon.
Plans are to do a full color change. Some sort of baby blue/teal all flake and do the roof white with ice flake.
I'm kinda lovin that color that's on it now. Looks tough! But I can see those other colors and it sounds kinda cool too. Oh the possibilities!
that color looks amazing as is! i'd keep it, but im open to any other choices you do to your car, it'll look great regardless i bet. where'd you get the knobs for the grill?
my yard art became mobile again today for the first time since June of '10. I still have to install the Crites patch piece, get an alignment, install the front bumper and fourteen-eleven other things but she did take me uptown to get her tag renewed and downtown to get me an iced tea. is it just me or do cars accumulate more dings by setting for extended periods of time than they do by being driven? I have three new scrapes that magically appeared while the freaking thing was immobile.
blades, thanks! got a birthday present from crites today! this is the frame rail repair patch they offer. mine was $178 shipped and it took almost exactly three weeks to receive it from the time they took the money out of the bank. Personally, I think that was a very reasonable turn-around time for a quality item. they were very polite the three times I called them. I would not hesitate to buy from them again!
Man I repaired my rails in front, What a pain in the butt, I was like 5 layers of metal wrapped. Would of rather bought them...
So in the 2 years since I started this thread, my car has had all the suspension, brake system, motor, trans, steering, wheels, tires, carpet, some electrical, etc replaced . This is how she looks now. Still no major body work...$$$$$$
