Here's mine. An original 62 custom w/ tuck and roll interior. It was just repainted 6 years ago exactly as it was in 62. I love it!
I have been working on mine here and there as I can, installed brand new true duals with cherry bomb's and tips (need flamethrower kit now.. LOL) Bought beauty rings and spider caps and now working on the trunk weatherstripping and a few other minor things. Would like to lower her and install a c-4 tranny with overdrive. Not a fan of the current 2 speed ford-o-matic.
Yeah I am just on the fence about what color. The car was originally black, so I might put it back to a gloss black so it is like she came from the factory since I redid the interior back to factory specs. But then again I was thinking a charcoal would look good with the red. It also does not help that a good paint job is not in my budget at the moment.
Heres mine, 63 sedan. after fixing all of the b.s issues the former owner caused, it made a solid daily driver.
Here's my old '55. I know, I know..."Red Rims". I ran chrome smoothies on it forever. I only took those off and painted stock rims red to sell it. It ran a pretty warm SBF and a C4 with a Granada rear. Damn thing was pretty quick!
thats sad you had to paint the wheels red to sell it!! but it works illl tell what!!! crazy. my buddy couldnt sell his clean t bucket. sanded to good paint off primered it black and redid the interior red, sold it fsster and for more than what he wanted when it was done nice! WTF!!!!
Does any one have any photos of the rear wheel skirt tabs for a 55 crown vic, future father in law bought a resto in progress project, most of the sheet metal works been done but not finished and tabs were never installed he's got what looks like 2 different set of tabs and I can also use any pictures of the front and rear locations so I can finish this project for him. Any help will be greatly appreciated.....Thanks Rich
Are you shittin us??? That is soooooo Kool!! Great lookin Fairlane in a rare color. I'm soooo jealous.... Murph
Let's keep it going. Here's my junk, just picked it up about a week ago. It sat for YEARS, and the old man that owned it put clear packing tape around all the windows. Needless to say, I have been spending hours with adhesive remover and sore fingers. Had a set of portawalls under the bed that I found and threw on there, but should have painted the wheels first. Not too big on the red wheels. Currently going through all the brakes, and then a good tune. I have lots of plans, but like anyone else short on cash and time.
Seen this slick ride at The Reno Swap Meet this past Sun. It's a 65 Sports Coupe, the rear was dropped with lowering blocks and looked like a spring was removed maybe. Hope the owner doesn't mind me posting here. I liked it alot. EDIT;Cell phone pics btw and I just realized when I saved it I flipped the rear shot (Steering wheel on the "wrong" side Lol!
