I'm picking up a 51 flattie and it'll need to ride in the bed of my truck, no room on trailer, for about 1500 mi. I would like to build a frame work to hold it upright. So I need the following measurements. Front to back, width of oil pan and height of oil pan

I always used an old tire.

  3. Is that with or without bellhousing or a big fan pulley sticking out in front. Just take a load of wood blocks, short planks, hammer, handsaw and a tin of nails with you. Don,t forget that old tire 1946caddy mentioned. Heres a few pics i have saved. Last one is real easy.

34Gaz Thanks after posting that I thought of just taking things with me to build one on the spot
1946caddy I don't have any old tires laying around and as I said it has to ride there for just over 1500 mi.
