I always joked that if I was a millionare I'd buy a new Corvette and and throw the LS1 away and put in something like a 300 ci from a Ford truck just to piss everyone off.

There was somebody building a '65 Malibu on the west coast with an engine from a Supra a few years back. Doing a nice job also.

Bizzare for sure, but gets me thinking about how rad it would be to replace the 6 in a '53 with a full house flatmotor.

Yeah, would probably be cool in an early solid-axle Vette. But this is yet more proof that some people have more time than brains.

Truly amazing craftmanship and out of the box thinking. Perhaps this is a new hottie scene takin over and we fools just don't get it.

I'll bet a dollar they set it down in there, snapped some pics, and took it right back out. just for attention.

    I'm a flathead guy.

I think it is totally funny that the seller pulled the flathead out to keep and is selling the vette.

How many people can say they once bought a vette just for the flathead.

To say the least, that is.... uhhh... interesting. I'll leave it at that.

    I'd agree with that.

Looks like he just lowered the flathead in the already empty engine compartment for a photo op.

I can't imagine anyone going to the trouble to put a flathead into a corvette......other than as a joke.

This dude is pulling the viewer's leg.

I thought the '56 Chevy convertible with the Toyota V8 HEMI (used in limos in Japan) running around Santa Maria, Ca. was the wildest swap I'd ever seen.... well this takes the cake.
I once had a '40 Chevy P/U with a Ford 6 C4 and 8" that I use to catch hell about, kind a like whats been happening to this guy!
You know what they say? "I'd Rather Push My Ford Or Chevy Then Drive A Toyota"!!!
