Customs Ford Mainline 1956

Hi Guys.

My wounder is:
Is there anyone who knows what type of rear axle mounted on these Fords orginally?? Is it a 9" or what?

I´m thinking of Change to a better gear ratio in the rearaxle to a more ridefriendly one. (want to save some gasmoney)

 

It is not a 9". The 9" came out in '57.
