Ford Model A fuel tank

Has anyone been able to adapt an electric sending unit to a stock Ford Model A fuel tank?

I'm sure anything is possible, but I want to know why. The gauge is well placed already.

 

If your gauge don,t work use a ruler . The last 1/2 inch is trouble.

The original gauge is pretty simple...

 

I'd like to know too. My gauge is sort of hidden now. Hard to explain, but an electric sending unit would give another option.
