I have just purchased a 56 f100 that has a 351 cleveland engine. The engine is toast, I am wondering which engines, (ford small block), would use the 351c existing motor mounts.

Primarily I would like to use a 302 or 351 windsor.

    Thanks

351C uses the same mounts, flywheel, and bell housing as the 302 and 351W, so it's a direct swap.

If it's actually a 351M/400, which look similar, the mounts are unique and it has the 429/460 bell housing pattern.

I think the mounts are the same for the cleveland and the Windsor engine family.
Does your truck presently have the universal type mount in it that is kinda like a short tube that is kinda like a cradle?
What transmission are you going to run?

Relic Stew is correct. Please post a picture of the engine front showing the head & distributor area and we will be able to tell you if it is the low-deck 351C or the tall-deck 351M/400.

The easiest identifier is that the thermostat and intake seal area around the distributor are higher on the 351M/400. Also the ridge to the drivers side of the distributor.
