This is a Custom T5 adapter setup that many guys (including myself) have used to put a T5 behind their flatheads. This will mount a 1984-99 Ford T5 transmission or a 1993-99 GM T5 transmission to a 1932-51 Ford V8 Flathead when used with the 48-52 F series truck front bearing retainer. This is by far the best way to adapt a ford T5 or 1993 and up S10 T5 transmission to a flathead. This is the same setup I am running in my 32 and my 34 3 window. This makes a very nice and simple setup behind a Flathead V8. Note: If you are going to use the ford type world class T5 you must change the front bearing retainer to a S10 or Camaro retainer which is a easy swap. Many guys think they need a S10 T5 because of the shifter location. This is false as you only need the S10 tailhousing and shift rail to move the shifter location forward on a Mustang or ford type T5.
