Has anyone made one? Maybe a source to buy one? I thought a G.M. power glide one from Lokar or Gennie could be modified. Any help would be great. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Should have said it was for a 53 merc-o-matic.

I had a 68 Cougar that had a Merc-o- Matic in it. Same as the Ford's. ( It is the Ford's actually...) I'd check the Mustang and Vintage Ford parts manufacturers or try looking at older granada's and the like for parts. You probably could get the whole ***embly that mounts to the floor out of any late 60's or 70s Fords or Mercs then make it work. I'm ***uming this set up mounts on the floor. If not you could modify what ever column mount set-up you have to work with a rod that has been bent to clear everything in all positions, (including your brake pedal) and ran without the safety lock out or other features. This would be a last resort, but anything is possible.
    Good Luck,
    Seth
P.S. If you screw up... I'm not responsible.
