Rebel Rodz is a mag that features alot of R-t rods, but occasionally they do have some cool traditional stuff in there.

  6. In the 60's Pasadena Ca. there was a 55 chev 2 door post that ran a strong 390 fe ford that took on all comers. also was a 58 del rey with a body lift that ran a blown hemi with a flat hood. it wasn't a sleeper but was much faster than it looked.
the same era I had a 374 Packard powered 51 Olds, a 331 Cad powered 48 Plymouth. and a 360 horse 327 chev in a 56 Ford. a 289 ford powered T-bucket. any engine will fit any car. that's called Hot Rodding.

Speed parts builders always jump into the small block chev first, so everything is easier to find cheaper for small block chevs. so it makes sense if your building on a tight budget, you'll get more for your money with a chevrolet. doesn't make them better. Just cheaper. I'm an old motor whorder and like doing things the hard way so I pile up old Hemi's, Nailheads, Cads, Lincolns, Straight 8's and flat head 6's

don't know why you would.. you put chevys in others cause it's cheap.. Why spend money just to spend money by putting a more expensive to build motor into a chevy.

Where is that pic of a ***aro with a Flathead in it?

    Anybody?

It was just a good pic of a Great Engine in a ricer wagon.

    Awe Heck,

all the ricers used to pull up to bullsheet corner in there trashams and ***aros back in the 70's but none of them would come out and play cuz those ricer wagons were getting smoked by bag ladies with shopping carts..

    ...just saying

    That works.

Heck, I can even stomach a Buick motor in a Ford. (Even I can't deny how cool a Nailhead looks).

Sheesh- if you insist on running a Chevy motor in your Ford, at least try! Make it a COOL Chevy motor! Yes, Chevy made some cool motors- the Stovebolt Six and the W-Motors come to mind!
