Over the years, I've acquired two complete F1 open drive rear ends with no suspension, a 1940 rear end from a panel complete with spring and wishbones, and a complete rear end with spring and wishbones from a '46 Merc 4 door. All have brakes. Is there a call for any of this, or should I just scrap it all?

Back up. I've checked on other sites and prices are all over the place. One guy local to me has had a complete but very rusty 48 rear end for sale for the last year for $600. In my opinion, he's asking too much. I'd really like someone else's opinion as to the worth of the ones I have. I don't really want to scrap them, but they're taking up a lot of space.

I don't know what the value is, but if you are considering scraping them for more space, I would price them a little bit higher than scrap, in hopes that someone would buy them and use them.

  5. I've used a few of them under the model A Ford's I've built, and generally paid a couple hundred for them with the spring still on em.

The F1 rears are tough. Generally they have 4:11's and I don't think there is a A/M gear set available for them.
