Technical Ford Small Block Cam Bearing Setback

    I had my camshaft bearings replaced at the machine shop in my Ford 302. However when I check the front bearing setback from the thrust plate, I measure .030" and the rebuild book says it should be .005 to .020" Will this affect anything?

    Will not be a problem..I see many of them installed deep. Installer probably builds a lot of chebbies!
