Lots of misinformation in the article. Stuff like Thunderbolts came with the 427 "side oiler" and 100 white Thunderbolts were built then DST built 11 more Burgundy cars to make them legal for NHRA competition.

It also said that one of the ways to prove it was real was that it had NO headliner because real T-Bolts didn't have headliners!! Sylvanus

My t-bolt, believe this was some time in the late 80's. Three of us, Larry Short, Bob Trevarrow, and myself, all with original t-bolts, were invited to this meet @ Cordova. Coca-Cola Cavalcade of Stars? There were a bunch of 421 SD's, 409's, and Mopars, mainly from the Chicago area there. We raced at night, the high end of the track had no lighting, better have headlights in working order. lol Recall the Pontiacs and Mopars were thrashing their Carter carbs, changing metering rods and jets, in a vain attempt to beat us. All we did was add fuel. Thanks for posting! Dennis

The Peacock Blue 63 427 Fairlane had a High Riser in it, at least when it was delivered to Tasca.

Could it be a real one when new on the Street? 5 lugs and looks like the original T bolt front bumper.

I think that photo is brand new, with one of the iPhone filters applied to it,Loudbang.
If you look real close at the tires, they are low profile modern radials.
It looks pretty convincing though!Whoever took that did a pretty slick job:)

This the infamous 65 "T Bolt"? Too small for my eyes to tell for sure.
