Features Ford Thunderbolts Photos Wanted

  1. I like the Walker Ford version. I agree with you Dennis. I wish more of the white cars were restored to "as raced". It does have cool tires on the back of it now though!

I've got a few other irons in the fire at the moment so I can't spend as much time here as I have, but like Dennis said....keep this thing going. If you have any new pics please post them. It's probably gonna get harder since there are so many pics already posted here....but I know there are alot more. :)

Not at all off topic to me. Talk about a "dream garage"! You're lucky to have seen it in person.

Ok, I am certain I am not the only one, but I have lost my mind trying to re-read this thread several times, sort, and group my list and collection of pics to align with what I think I now understand from reading this thread!!

Am I crazy or was there a post of the original 1960's paint work of the Milo Coleman car showing the passenger side or was it something I dreamed?? Can anyone point me back to the post if it was real?

Also, was this car ever discussed and I missed it? I can't seem to locate any detailed notes on original dealer, delivery date, driver... Can someone help an obsessed T-Bolt fan out?

Is that the car that was named Baby Dump Rat? I think Bob Fermier has a picture of it at Phenix City, AL without any lettering, red color from around 1965. I may have a copy among the pictures that Bob gave me.

Yes, that is correct. All the same car, just at different times. After Milo Coleman sold the car it stayed in the Detroit area until Bob's Trevarrow's wife sold the car in 1994 where it was then restored by Donald Allen and sold to a private collector in VA. Every time I saw the car in the Detroit area it had either a SBC or BBC

Here's the shot from my friend Bob Fermier of a red T-Bolt at Phenix City, AL in '65.

Bob and Harry Fermier were close with Milo Coleman so I always thought that this was Coleman's car.

There is a pic of it on the Hotrod webpage where they covered the Thunderbolt reunion.

If you are referring to the Milo Coleman car in white and lettered up a Walker Ford, it is in the FCA "Fairlaner" Jan/Feb 2010 issue.

The photo you posted I believe is one of the Courtesy Ford (CO) cars at a later date. I believe the former Rick Hearn automatic car.

Bob Fermier mentioned to me that Milo gave him the HX auto from the T-Bolt and they put in the 62 Galaxie.

Dennis, You are amazing! It was there on page 22 of the Fairlaner. Is the photo aged or was it painted pale yellow?

The Rick Hearn car must have had a ton of paint on it when it was restored! Might be my imagination but it seems like every other photo was his Courtesy Ford car.

Can you clear some confusion for me. You have mentioned 3 Courtesy Ford cars now, 2 to CO and 1 to TX. Was that all of it or was there another car? "My collective list" shows 2 delivered on the 12/26/63 and 1 on 3/16/64, if I have been recording things right. If my dates are correct, is it correct to assume that 2 in December were CO and the March delivery was TX or should I scrap my list and start over?

  27. Yes that's dad's D/G '60 Falcon. The Fairlane was my mom's driver. It was a 390GT with 427LR heads and the 3x2's off of dad's '61 390-401. It was a four speed too!! The Falcon was a 289 and a crash box T-10. Dad said it would run hard to the 1/8th. then run out of steam.... The engine was set way back also. Here is another shot or two of it. It was Troublemaker I and my Fairlane is II. The shot is from the driveway where I grew up and mom & dad still live. I've included a shot of me with the Fairlane on my first day of I think first grade. This isn't the same car as I race. I have had mine since I was 14 though....:D

It's just the photo. The Milo Coleman car as Walker Ford was Wimbledon White.

Technically it was Courtesy Motors (TX) and Courtesy Ford (CO), both 4 speed cars.
The later CO car was an automatic car that went to Rick Hearn.

I can relate to the confusion, when you consider the Milo Coleman, Walker Ford delivered and sponsored, then Bill Currie Ford sponsored T-Bolt. The Bill Currie Ford delivered, Alan Hyder owned/Hubert Platt driven/Frank Vego Ford sponsored T-Bolt. Lastly, the Frank Vego Ford delivered T-Bolt, but later owned in 1965 by Curry Ford. Yes, things may get a bit confusing. It took a while to figure those three cars out.

At a somewhat lesser degree, the four or should I say five or so called six Bob Ford Inc. T-Bolts, 622/623/624/713/57/1173 and which ones were which. The two Bridenthal Ford T-Bolts, the three Tasca Ford T-Bolts, the two M/T T-Bolts, etc ... .

Exactly! I hate misinformation, especially if I spread it. Thanks for being so understanding. Is the Coleman-Currie sponsored car the one on the Hot Rod Reunion page? Is it the same Bill Currie car with almost matching paint scheme, but has an aluminium bumper in a pic from Detroit Dragway?

BTW, since you mentioned the Tasca cars... What was the delivery date of the Willis Ford car? 4spd or auto? :)
