Does anyone have a copy of the list that outlined what cars / vin's went to what driver and/or dealership? Bill Holbrook emailed me the list a few years back but I cant locate it.

That is Ron Roots Dart. The engine was prepped at Les Ritcheys shop. He had quite a bit of success with the car which is probably how he got the driving duties for my 65.

Too quick on the submit button. Yes I would think that is Les's T-bolt

  7. Les Ritchey's Clover leaf hood T-bolt! :) Whatever became of this style hood on the Bonner and Ritchey cars? What other T-bolts had them?

Last time I was at Performance Associates talking with Randy Ritchey he mentioned these bars. We talked about putting them on the Gas Ronda car we are doing but Gas said he didnt run them during the time period we are doing the build for. I believe Randy still has a few of these sets around if im not mistaken.

Mutley- Great shot of Gas' old car. I love getting these pics. It helps me put all of the different fases of his car during that season together to make it really accurate. This looks to be right after he stepped away from the car and went to the Mustangs. Pre Earl Wade. Keep those coming.

This car (a four speed) was originally delivered to Bill-Rick Ford in IL to Don Hawthorne. From there the car went to CA where it went through three or four owners, then to NC where it was super stocked and tubbed by Herb McCandless and then raced as Chris's Toy by Bill Hinton and Donnie Moore. Then to NY and raced by Drake Viscome - Carmel Ford, then the car went to Norway for quite some time. The car came back to the US, I think by Randy DeLisio, then to Don Whitlow in VA who put the car back to as delivered configuration.

If I recall correctly the glass doors on the car came from Brannan's car when they were both at McCandless's shop getting the chassis updated, and the owners agreed to switch.

    Regards,
    Dennis

  24. What ever became of DST's Andy Hotton Enterprises beautiful B/FX -C/FX '64 Fairlane? Was it a 427 originally..then went to a small block? Also, was this car part of the 100 T-bolt's? If so, which # number is it? Very cool to see a brand new DST built T-bolt at the Detroit-Autorama...before all the decals, numbers etc! Please click on link and wait for pic to load...slight delay! John :)

It was a small block Fairlane. Later it got Fairlane 500 trim and a 427 if I remember correctly.

    Here's Chris' Toy.

I see Don Whitlow and his wife almost yearly at the Hershey fall meet. They are very nice and always recognize me and say hello.

The car had a really neat paint job during it's Carmel Ford and Norway days, but then again I grew up in the '70s and enjoy the psychadelic stuff too.

What about this one, does anybody recognize it? Off the top of my head, the only two cars I recall with a silver roof (very cool by the way..) are the Wendle Ford car and Fred Henderson's "Shazam!". Being red I'd guess this one has a better chance of being Fred Henderson's car but it's missing a lot of the quarter panel lettering. Early photo of Shazam or ??? Looks like a "SS" designation on the quarter window and it's racing a Super Stock Dodge.....
