Boy, the stupidity of youth! When I was in school, I was given a collection of Ford Times from the school library, dating from the late 40's to the mid 60's. I don't remember if it was a complete collection or just a bunch of different issues. They were just old magazines back then {early 70's} and they wanted rid of them. I carried them home and read every one of them cover to cover. My Mom got tired of seeing them, and threw out most of them one day while I was at school. I eventually tossed the rest before I moved out, never thinking they would be collectible to anyone. Kicking my own *** right now.

................I've still got 30 or so from the late 50's-early 60's but then, if you saw my house , you would know that I never throw anything away. I even have a bunch of Hot Rod, Motor Trend and R&Cs that I got from the Jr. High librarian before they tossed them. They also go back to the late 50's-early to mid 60's.

I just stumbled on this thread and got very excited. I collect Ford Times magazines and have literally hundreds of duplicates from 1947 through 1992. I'm hoping that someone else in this thread might be interested in trading dupes to help round out our respective collections.

I had most of them from '51 to the late 60's. They were in a box on top of our shop office. I went up to get the boxes stored there when I sold the building. Sadly I found that mice had gotten the box and chewed up most of the magazines. The others were soaked in mouse piss. The box went in the dumpster. :(

The first one I saw was around 1960, had a section called Restorations old and new. Featured a model A coupe and 56 Crown Victoria, that had damage to the roof. The owner made a good looking Ranchero out it.
