Hi all,I am building a 34 ford pu and thinking about using split bones over
hairpins.I was intending on using cross steering....here is the problem, when using bones with cross steering you have to use deep dropped steering arms to go under the bones,I thought this might look a
little goofey, don't know. My other thought was to run the tie rod through the bones but with cross steering I dont think this will work at all. I think that you could use side steering of some kind but not really sure on which type to use,or I could make up a set of hairpins! Any other ideas appreciated.

    Thanks-Joe

Even with side steering the drag link will still need to clear the wishbones. Some of the deep drop steering arms wont clear with a 4" drop axle mine are from ch***is engineering and just barely clear.

My steering arms look great and clear split bones with a 4" dropped axle. They are the Pete & Jake's arms from Riley Automotive.

We used speedway drop arms and a super bell 4" drop axle on my friends 31 coupe and the drag link s****es the wishbones when turned all the way not a big deal to clearance the bones but still better to get parts that fit.
