A friend sent me this photo and asked if I knew what make and year it is. I'm guessing Ford big truck. At first I thought 30/31 but the headlights look older, maybe early V8, 32-34? I also asked on the FTE and Ford Barn but I thought I'd tap into the HAMB data base. Any thoughts? Thanks. truck.jpg

    is that a 32 firewall?

  9. No. It's a '33/34 style firewall.

The radiator also leans back as done on the '33/34.

I'm no expert and probably wrong, hard to see in the picture... based off the Leafs I would guess a Oregon Ashwood tree. As far as the truck goes, I don't know. I would believe alchemy, but you cant discredit vandenplas as everything is a dodge...

Only ways I know to further narrow it down between 33 or 34 is the grille, hood, and back rib of the cab. None of which can be seen from this photo.

Photo was taken of the truck along the Russian River in Northern California.

Makes sense, they span Northern California through Western Oregon into Southern Washington. Neat Picture though, would make a nice background.

    I edited my initial reply.

Based on the triangle shaped window on the front wheel , I am going to say this is a '33. The '34 and later big trucks had a slightly rounded opening. When Ford went to the full floater rear end in '34, they had to make the bolt pattern pattern bigger which changed the window.
