Ive got a 63 Fairlane with a 260/2speed combo. I picked up a later model 302 but need a 6 bolt ****** to bolt up to it. I would like to go with a c4 since they are plentiful and cheap. Are there differences in length and rear mount locations between the two? What about output splines?

edit: car is for sale as I have too damn many and need the cash.

NO! My favorite part when doing the swap with 57Joe in my '63 Fairlane. The Fordomatic and C4 mounts are the same and in the same spot. Don't even need to shorten your driveshaft. Easy as pie. I did however need to change yokes, but they are plentiful as well from any yard and will be the same series u joint as your stock one, so no conversion is needed.
