   I ought to know this already, but will an FE-sourced Fordomatic or Cruisomatic match the bellhousing pattern on a Y-block? I was under the impression they would since the two families of engines co-existed in the fullsize line for several years.... am I dead wrong or barking up the right tree?

   No Chance. The bellhousings between Y-blocks and FE's are completely different.
