    that pic of camper is pretty neat I do not ever recall seeing a camper on a car of any year.I guess I should have got out more

    My great great grandpa built them on several cars. I recall seeing another pic with a rambler with a camper and another on I believe a mid 60’s galaxie.

    Even if ya stayed inside, you must've seen The Long, Long Trailer movie w/ Desi & Lucy at some point on the TV.
    Can you imagine hauling this thing w/ an old Merc?

    There were some scenes in the movie that a Lincoln was used because it looked very similar and the shots were very brief. The Lincoln was used in the mountain scenes where the trailer was being pulled up some very steep grades.

    that was a common site along side the trans Canada in Alberta.near Jasper and other tourist places.different time for sure I witnessed it in 1969
