The Black on Yellow California plate ran from 56-62. Not much available then and wires are Ford available discs. Might be a 1956 photo.

I'll bet these guys would rather be in the picture that Dos Cincos shared with us!

The local weather report makes it sound like we could see these conditions for the next couple of days!

Funny both RC and Double Cola signs together. Brother liked Double Cola, I was an RC guy.

I went to work in L.A. in about 1973 delivering RC Cola. Everything was in glass bottles and wooden cases, you would leave in the morning with about 12,000lbs on the truck and come back at night with 4,000lbs of empties. Cured me of ever wanting a RC Cola ever again!

Miss those RC glass sixteen ounce bottles ! Funny how things work these days,us Old Farts remember turning in those pop bottles for a little cash and that was basically recycling so now we have plastic bottles that end up in landfills in the news maybe the old way was a better way ?

Yeah, there was a little gas station about 5 miles from our house that had a coke machine, they were first 5 cents, then later went to 10 cents. My brother and I loaded hay for 2 cents a bale, so after a day in the hay fields we would ride to the station and get a coke, we would drink it there and then put the bottle in the wooden rack because there was a 2cent deposit on the bottle, and that was a bale of hay. I guess we were frugal or cheap.
