For those who prefer to celebrate in a more comfortable variation of the national sit on a T Bird day - there is also a sit on the seat day!

Thanks for the clarification. I missed that. The 57's fins are visible on the picture of the purple car. The captioned picture shows a 57 grill.

I had a huge crush on her and was devastated when she died. A beautiful woman and a fine actress. Good taste in cars, too.

This has probably been posted already, if so sorry. My car was built in Mahwah on Dec31st 1955, probably by these guys working on the longroof.

The plant promised to produce as many as 800 cars and 250 trucks in a one-shift day, reported The Times, replacing a Ford plant in Edgewater, N.J., which on the day of the Mahwah opening rolled out its 1,817,938th and last vehicle. Picture and description from Old Cars. Maybe this inspired some of the amusement park rides.:confused: https://www.oldcarsweekly.com/features/car-of-the-week-1956-ford-fairlane Rollover Testing at Cornell.JPG
This strange device undergoing testing is an automobile roll-over simulator. Being put through its paces at the Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory, it features a 1956 Ford four-door sedan body mounted between two turntables, which rotate while recording the motion of the “dummy” occupying the front seat. Another dummy (right), representing a six-year-old child, was also used in the tests. Getty Images
