. While visiting Ted to pick up my motor , he showed me a 55 with big tubs, Bad**** motor, all in drag configuration, waiting to be finished, but didn't discuss any further info on it. Really wanted to hear it, but more interested in setting mine up on dyno, and time was short.

I will take all the help I can get! Ted is the man when it comes to Y Blocks and his altered T is quite the ticket, but it is really something to have a street car running a Y Block that has a quick ET. There is so much that goes into all that stuff. Only a select few had something that was truly street/strip - everyone else was running a dedicated drag car like the one in the pic or they had a stocker like mine. I do want to build another engine though - I have a C2AE block in the works and have a 312 crank ready to grind...

Could be, with a quick paint job and a set of plates that were changed to throw off the law!

That was one of my all time favorite movies. I saw it at the movies, when I was 14 and have like 57 Fords and Robert Mitchum, ever since.

    Enjoy:

And Charlie Daniels version (Didn't know he did this song):

Nope..the black and white car is a Custom, and the other with him under the hood is the Fairlane.

There was a black or black & white Custom in the movie. It was the '57, where RM tossed the cigarette, out the window, at the bad guy, hitting him doing 90+ ;) , before running him off the road.

The difference in the fins is more obvious when the pictures are enlarged for a closer look!
