    Man, that 59 Galaxie looks looooong and the driver looks tiny! Amazing how long it is from the back of the back seat to the rear bumper.

    They are ! It took three tries to get a car cover that fit. I told them the longest one you make,but not what there computer said. After sending the first two back they wished they would’ve listened.

    Yes, I was trying to figure out if this was a retractable hardtop or a cloth top convertible. I am more familiar with the 57s and the length behind the seat was quite different between the two. My 59s I have owned have been Rancheros or wagons.

    Looking at the boot, it isn't a snapon vinyl boot. Looks to me to be a hard panel, which I'm guessing is what the retracs end up with...never really paid attention.

    BTW, I was told "for a fact, the retracs are 3 1/2" longer in the quarter panel than the convertibles." I was told this by a guy who restored a retrac and had to add that amount to the normal length rear quarter panel to be able to use it. Not sure if the soft tops had the same length reqr quarters as hardtops....I believe they do.
