1952-59 Ford Fords from the past.

My '59 came with reversed rims. They are narrow, 4.5" wide. When I was slinging tires we called them station wagon rims.

 

Those wheels on that wagon appear to be sporting early round caps as opposed to 57 caps. I am guessing that is a staged picture to look early. ???

 

That might also be newer style wheels on the trailer. I searched around and found the same image a few different places. The post by oldpartsman1 might be the original posting of this picture. I have never seen a two tone done this way, roof and hood different color than the body color. I have seen the roof different color but not the hood on a 59 and I have had a few. I might as well confess, I am a*****er for wagons and old drag cars, not so much for customs. I have had wagons since I was 14, my first was a 57 country sedan, black with red and white interior. Took a lot of flack from my friends for driving a wagon, now everybody thinks they are cool!
