Forum Updates

I like the event forum, but most of the time (here or other places) the worth never have enough info for me to have a option IMO

I like the ideas. My concern is that unless it is REALLY obvious where to post these things they'll still be posted where they are now.

 

It is worth a try but you have a point. The Landracing forum has so many sub forums that stuff just gets lost and posted willy nilly.

 

Just scrolling through it seems concise..........to me. I know some folks that have trouble fining the main board!

 

Take your time on the next version, I think you've done a fine job with this one.

 

Thanks for your hard work and time. It's a live evolving thing and sometimes takes some trial and error to get it done.

What's it worth is a great idea. There is so much knowledge here and no one person knows all of it, great to get second and third opinions on the value of an item. It could save a seller from over pricing an item and it not selling, then them losing confidence and scrapping something valuable or historic, or pricing something too cheaply and later finding out they gave away the gold mine.

 

Whatever you do is fine with me. I have said this before, this site is the easiest to navigate of all the sites I'm on.

 

You are oh so right Mark, If Ryan never made another change the Hamb would remain the best site on the internet. HRP

We really don't need an "updated" version of the HAMB..... It's pretty damned good as is. If it ain't broke..... uh, you know the rest.

I have, but for some reason I prefer the HAMB format. OK.... I'm old and don't like 'change'!

 

As long as none of the updates are post '65.

One thing I'd like to see (OK, maybe two or three): A while back there was a post about a 53-54 Ford that had experienced a lower control arm failure, the post quickly deleted because the car had a "bagged" Mustang II front suspension. I feel this was a missed teaching opportunity as the post should have been archived on a "sticky" to show newbies why we don't do bags here, or Mustang II suspensions, (or S-10 frame swaps for that matter). In other words, graphic examples, saved for posterity, of why those things aren't a good idea.
