I like that version of the car too. It flows much nicer than it’s current state.

  3. i know i'm late to the party but on the ticket to the Kustom Kemps show there's written Ken Endicott, GA. is this the same guy? He seems to be a Ford-/Merc guy, too. watch the video:

btw, i like that car the way it is. a nice custom, the color choice fits, even if pink is not mine.

did you try to connect him?

Unfortunately, Ken passed away a few years ago. I bought the car from his widow and his son.

I'm just glad you got rid of the clown nose ball on the hood

Well we have been deeper into this car. Gas welding on the front splash pan and on the rear quarter extensions. Many thanks to Nads who asked " Whats this" while the car was on the lift in Orlando. What it was is a Bermuda bell! Someone has to know something about this car, it's definitely an old build.

Scooter from the Elm City crew just commented that he has seen the car in one of the books that he has. Come check it out at the Custom Car Revival in Indianapolis this weekend.

  9. "Pointless fact of the day" I'm wondering if at one point this Kustom hailed from Canada in it's origin? I noticed the trim surrounding the grille opening is distinct to Monarch in Canada, as is the "smooth" lower bumper insert (Mercury had three ribs, Monarch was smooth.). If it started it's life as a Monarch convertible then made it's way south, it's a very very rare car. Here's a pic of my Monarch showing the grille surround chrome and an old pic when it had the bumper. IMG_2772.JPG . IMG_3534.JPG
