  1. Never to early to plan the new engine! You going to bore out a 283 and use injection?

This is just great news. No one should be too upset with the current owner. It looks like he kept it dry and protected, and has been good enough to let it go back to the original owner. Good on him.

Yes, or make it a 301 again, or a destroked 400. Nothing comes close to a screaming mouse.
    But a 409 or 427 W, does a good job too.

I'd ,love to have my first Bracket car back; a 56, 150, Business Coupe. Nice white paint, Cragar S/S rims, 2 bucket sets, a perfect stock headliner, and 68 Camaro 12 bolt, 5.38 gears on a Mororso Brute Strenth Positraction. I sold it less engine and trans for $1500.00. Last I saw the car it was on E-Bay, and had a 56K dollar BIN!. I contacted the guy and we talked about the car and the massive changes made; full on, Pro Street/Drag Car running in the 8's. When I first bought the car for $80.00, I said I'd NEVER sell it, but then the FED came, followed by the rear motored Super Comp dragster. Now I'm back to the 56 Chevrolets, and I've now had TEN of them over the years. The current Delivery is the last; it has to stop sometime. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

What a nice car! Unmolested, and straight!

But are you shure it was a gasser? I don't see a straight axel :chok:

Good looking paint job, was it the same as you had on it?

Congratulations, and it came together for the perfect Christmas gift. We need to see a modern picture with you in the red shirt like the old one that you have.

  25. Not all gassers had straight axles, especially lower class cars where you had to add weight to be legal.

Didnt know that, but there is alot I dont know.
What do you mean by lower class?
I though there was one class for gassers, and you get matched by weight/cubic in.

    But still a nice car.
