So I ran across this 32 5 window body, a old hotrod/dragcar done in a east coast style. You know unchopped and real nice channel job . So I'm torn on keeping it channeled or not. There is no rust issue with the body so it faily easy to unchannel her.
So does anyone have some cool pictures of channeled coupes?
    thanks John

If you have a HEMI and sone exhaust tubing you could build a clone of the Bruce Hertel '32! Rodding & Restyling April 1962 Feature car.

John, you need to simplify your life and just trade that 5 window body to Melvin and get his coupe.

We restored the gold coupe, it was an early drag car and still has the 345 2x4 Desoto motor in it.

    Yep... A little bit.:D

I'm waiting for the baffles to come in, and once I have put them in the pipes, she's done...

  17. Just my opinion.... Channel jobs on coupes need chops...

Either lift it back up and fender it, or chop it. Otherwise, to me, they only look half done.

Sedans, for some reason can get away with no chop, fenderless channel jobs... but I think they need a hood to pull of the correct look.

It might be a different story if the one you found has fenders... but I still can't say I like 'em that way.

    Again... just my opinion...

    Olds with a Cad/laSalle gearbox...Total timewarp machine.

I'll post a Thread about it when it leaves. ( I'll shoot a bunch more pics first)

Finally, the unveiling is upon us. No more hushed meetings in dark areas of the Sonoran Desert in order to see it. I cannot wait, thanks!

So here's a few shots of it right now. It needs work but solid and need a few goodies for it: A patch for the cowl as you see it must have had a blower sticking thru. If you can help me find this area that would be great!!! Also need a channeled firewall, chopped grill shell, hinges for the windsheild.
Aaron, I love Mels car just don't fit into it :D

Metalshapes, I kick myself in the Ass every time I see Jerrys coupe. I think a bunch of us in the chicagoland and Cheeseheads should have bought it. Looks great can we have it back in the midwest please:D

T , I love them both ways but have to find a way to drive two at a time:D

Wow, I do like the look of a Hemi I'll have to get one and see how it looks

Leave it channelled for sure.....fenderless 5W's look best channelled....
    chopped or not.....
The frame reveal/curve doesn't 'flow' well with the straight, narrow doors.....
3W's don't need channelled, as the front edge of the door has a nice curve that compliments the frame.......
This applies to FENDERLESS 32's, and is just MY opinion on the subject.

    Definitely a cool project John!!!!

My first choice would be a 3 window but I have given up on getting one of them. the red one would be topps on the list, Sams a lucky guy.

Nitro, I like the 2" channel on the 32's I feel it flows a bit better then stock like Josh is talking about..

Not sure where it came from, exactly.

    I dont own it either.
But I did do some work on it.:)

    Edit.
