Yep there is another one in the area.I don't think it is as nice as yours.I know he has owned it since 1954 but i have never seen it.I don't think it will ever be for sale.I had it sold to George Poteet but the owner backed out.

After owning and driving a 32 Ford coupe ... you will most likely throw rocks at a Model A :) :D

Model A's are nice ... but a 32 has more room, drives better and has a more secure feeling than the Model A.
Plus your 32 already has a V8 Flatty ... so it sound better also.

CONGRATULATIONS ... on both finding/buying the 32 5W and having a wife SMART ENOUGH to make you buy it.

  3. Congrats....nice story!

  4. what do you say to the mrs. now huh
besides "you were right as always.."

    Great looking car!!!!!!

    Congratulations.

(Make sure that number on the frame matches the title. Firewall tag only could cause you some pains in the future.)

"Yes dear" never felt so right..
    .
Quite a bit more than that but not unreasonable for the condition. How many are left to find? Especially with a V-8. I`ve never bought a project with shiny paint in my life.

I`m going to verify a frame number before the remainder of the money is paid to ease my mind. I didn`t readily see a # on the left frame at the body but haven`t examined it hard yet.

You could buy it then advertise it in the right places and clear enough money to build your Model A with enough left over to take your wife on a nice vacation.

  13. I hope you bought it for $10k and you turn around and sell it to some lemming thats hell bent on having a 32 for $60k. :D

My problem is it wouldn`t be fair to the guy that sold it to me. He could have easily listed it on e-bay and waited patiently for it to top out for more than I gave him. I`ve already turned down offers and I don`t even have it home yet.
So I guess I`m in for the long haul with this one. Not a bad place to put money I suppose...and I`m not good at selling old cars if you look at our chocked full garages.:)

Update! Serial# is good. Coming home tomorrow. I`ll post pics when I get it nestled in with the others.
Now what kind of rolling stock and axle? Hmmmm.

  15. You can pull the original axle out and have it dropped or just buy a forged

I beam axle,,,and you can't go wrong with nice rims and caps. HRP

And that`s why I haven`t slept well for the last couple of nights.

I`m stressed! It`ll all be over tomorrow. Maybe I`ll sleep in the garage.

Really happy to see such a car, if it's 12V and has Juice brakes, well its a hot rod already, . But a dropped axle and minus a few leaves in front and back reverse the eyes and a dual intake and now your talking.

really love the car, if this doesn't become your keeper then your kidding yourself, as if you sell it, it will end up being your story you tell on the one that got away.

  25. $475, man you were ripped off! I wouldn't have paid more than $470 for one then :D

The way the '32 market is and as nice of a piece that it is - $ 60,000.00 sounds about right. What a nice ride. Good Luck with the buy.
