Hi guys.... I found a computer that works down here in Samoa. We are finally getting power restored in most of the destroyed areas. What a mess... the power of hydraulics is amazing when you see 50 foot boats tossed around like toys over 200 yards from any water into homes and businesses! We've been averageing about 18 hours a days since I arrived on the 8th of October. We are "working" with FEMA and the Army Corp of Engineers... Guess what that's like!!!!! I can see why nothing gets done! I've got another week here and then I'm heading to the island of Ofu to do some minor repairs there and then head home. They want me to return at the end of November and stay 'til the first of January for follow up repairs. Here is what gets to me.... people that have lost their homes come to us and offer food and drink when they have nothing left of their home or possesions. They are so grateful we are there. Really gets to you! Talk later guys... be safe and give me a good resource for a new radiator for the 53 as my fan drilled a perfect 15 inch hole in mine.... Geno
Hey Geno, we missed ya! It sounds like you're really making a difference down there, good man. That's incredible that people who have lost everything are trying to help you. Stuff like that-and the work that you are doing- really gives me hope for mankind. Keep safe and keep us posted.
I'm glad you are able to make a difference, Geno. That's an opportunity that few of us are ever given. Just remember "Job 1": Get home safe. We're with ya'! Eric
Hey fellas... I got some pictures of the cars that got mixed up in the wave here. They got really tore up with several so pounded that you can't tell what they were! When I get home I will post them! Take care guys
