You guessed it Frank! But I think Hackerbuilt caught on first. I just cranked this one out at Kohlerkustom headquarters here in sunny Buffalo, NY. Rodsville QC is the only modern piece. Engine is just a mockup lump, I'm screwing together a well built 8RT for it now.

It's a pair of gennie deuce rails that I kicked up about 2.5" out back, 105.5" wheelbase, model A front and rear crossmembers with a '40 center X, '40 pedals, dropped heavy axle, deuce split bones and spindles, F1 shock mts, yadda yadda yadda. Hoping to have her on the road in time for Bonneville in Aug... we shall see!

    This is going on top...

Sometimes I hate you solely because of your ability to turn out *****ing hot rods in such a short length of time.

You'll be driving it before the end of the month and be like "I think I'll finish the T while I'm at it." We all know how that goes.

Thanks dudes, still a ton of work to do to this frame, but it feels great to have it actually rolling around! Hoping to have the F1 steering installed and the e brake taken care of by this weekend. Then a little engine ***embly... My cam and lifters just showed up, gotta do a little valve seat work on the block and some plug hole work on the old alum heads then it can go together.

That rear is just slapped together to roll around too, the axle housings need speedy sleeves installed as the wheel bearing surfaces are kinda tore up... I have had a hard time finding any decent cones lately, seems like nice ones are drying up around here.

I have a nice '36 rear end that Jrblack30 gave me in exchange for setting up his QC but with the frame kickup on this ch***is, the radius rod ends interfere with the framerail. I welded some doubleshear tabs on the housings to mount these '48 rods inboard a couple inches. I think it will work well.

Actually, that's a 33-34 ch***is, look at the profile of the side rails, shape of the X member, and curved rear spring pocket.

is it worth picking up as it looks like its been hacked up a bit and looks to be rusted out in a few spots?

If you can get it right, DEFINITELY. Start at $50 and see what they say. I save any pieces, bits, s****s of that stuff. I see tons of parts there.... Axle, wishbone, steering parts, pedals, crossmembers, driveshaft, spindles, etc.... even random chunks of frame can be used to fix damaged rails, etc. They aren't making this stuff any more!

I just paid $150 for a '40 ch***is that was so rusty, it broke in half when they picked it up! But it yeilded a nice set of spindles, hydraulic brakes, a decent topshift trans, steering box, column, and wheel, pedals, a bunch of flathead engine parts, crossmembers, a rear end, wishbones, etc.

  20. your builds continue to inspire, really stoked with your build, and creative mind. Great to see.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:)

Un freakin real! You know how hard it is to find that stuff in western ny. Probably right in my back yard too. I'm lucky to find anything newer than 75!

Every single piece of this ch***is except for the new front tires and QC was plucked various places in WNY.
