Less than 1 mile in either direction from my house there is a 38 ford sedan, a 46 ford sedan, a 34 three window hot rod, a 30 coupe hot rod,a 50`s chevy pickup ,a tin woody,a 30 roadster pickup,a 32 3 window hot rod so including my 2 A`s and my international truck we must have the highest concentration of american tin in any village in Scotland !

My friend and next door neighbor Martin has this cool 53 Buick. There´s also my neighbor Günter just across the street , he has a few prewar motorcycles, a few old BMWs and VWs, and just up the street is Andy , who is into Porsches and M BMWs. Otto , at the end of our street has old tractors and Stefan , just across the street from Otto has some old Vespas... we are only 10 or 12 houses , but only 2 are non gearhead households:D

  3. The only HAMB-appropriate vehicle I am aware of in my neighborhood is my truck.

I've seen a couple first gen Mustangs, what looks like a Chevy Task Force truck under a cover in a garage, what looks like a 67-72 C10 carcass in a garage, couple of square body Chevys parked outside (one moved), first gen Bronco in a garage, 70s Cordoba in a driveway, handful of C5 and C6 Vettes... One guy (we almost bought the house across the street from him) has an awful looking 70s/80s street rod style 32 coupe. A friend of mine has a nephew with a Pantera that lives in my neighborhood somewhere, but I haven't connected it to a house, only see the bright orange Pantera rumbling by occasionally. One guy two blocks over has a lowered dentside F100, newer supercharged Mustang, and turbo'd 300ZX, but I can't ever catch him outside to chat.

  4. I'm the only person in my neighborhood that has any old cars. HRP

  5. Yeah - I’m the one and only “old car guy” in my neighborhood too. There used to be a few others, but much newer - Buick Grand National, 70 Chevelle, Mod A sedan, a stocker, and a 56 T-Bird but they are all gone now, either moved or sold.

But, Williamsburg as a whole has really blossomed into something of a pre-64 Mecca. There are a lot more running around than there every were …. stockers, a couple customs, and a bunch of hot rods I have never seen before. Not all HAMB material but some pretty cool rides nonetheless

My neighborhood kids call me the “ cool guy “ with the neat old stuff . The teenaged boys have hung around for years . I try to teach them mechanics and life lessons , to be an outstanding person . One of them ask me to be in his wedding . If their parents only knew , I was nuttier than a monkey turd at their kids age !
