Score! You can't lose, if you don't want them, sell them for s**** price and break even :D.

    Lot'sa nice parts there :).

  3. Flat windshield would be '35-'36, but I thought I saw a split windshield on the middle truck. Could be wrong. The truck on the right is definitely a '39, as the '38 and '39 grilles are different, this one has the '39 grille.

Well we dug/pulled them to a clearing on Sat. Let me tell, after climbing all over them they were not worth the hastle. Dam shame he would't have sold them years ago. The middle one had a plate of 1949. Alan said they have been there since before he was born(1956). A pillar were rotted up past the lower hinges, dashes were gone, windshield frames rusted away. I was bummed. Needles to say they are going to s****. The roof skins ya could have pulled them off by hand. Why do people do this? Just sell them and let somebody else enjoy them before they good too bad. Sorry for all the hipe and then have to disappoint ya all.

That`s what we did with one too gone to bother with.
It was actually alot of fun to just weld up and roll out there.
4x6 treated wood frame rails mixed with manure spreader parts.

It even rolls and steers. Several have stopped and tried to buy it already.

Uhhh, parts were pretty rough. Actually it`s all the parts we had left over from building three AD Chevies over the last few years. Just welded to hold it all together. Couldn`t sell them at a swap meet.

I was proud of the stance when done. Tried to lay the boards on the ground but the rear wheels are 34" height.

So i am telling one of my customers at the shop today about these trucks and how they ended up being junk. He asks me "are you looking for a project?". "Not really, but what ya got?" He ends up telling me he has 3 46 Ford coupes sitting out behind his buildings and if i wanted to i could come have a look. I told him i'll be there Sat. mourning. He also has a 29 Chevy sedan, 34 Ford coupe and a 39 Ford coupe. I new he had those but not the 46's. I'm not really looking but i guess if they fall into your lap, ya better run with it, right?

I can remember a time where places like this were everywhere. Can't ever remember going to a "parts store" very often. Junk yards were everywhere.

Ironically, the local Advance Auto Parts sits on property that used to be the junk yard in our area.

The times have changed..... in many cases NOT for the better!!!!
