Yes, it's the Oiler's Drag Coupe! Here's what I can tell you about the car. It was street driven in San Diego in it's original ('59 era) chopped state, primered, with the clam shell fenders. This would be late 70's-early 80's. I believe it was owned by Terry Toop? Bill Hogue bought the car (that's Bill's red hammered 34 3/w). I rode in it a couple of times and it was a rough and wild, bare bones old Drag Coupe, mail slot windows and all! Bill sold the car to Pat Armitage who added the black primer flames (as shown in one of the pics) and drove it with full Moon discs for awhile before tearing it down for a fullrebuild-which included un-chopping it. I'm not sure where the car resided between the 20 years between '59 and the late 70's but imagine it may have been squirreled away in the San Diego area the entire time.
It's a beautiful Hotrod,/Racer and one could see why a raised roof in a street situation might have been considered I don't think anybody answered @speedway's question that went with that pic and it was along the lines of what are those shiny things in what looks like a pullout tray. I'm thinking ballast and trust me I don't know much about racing... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/masters-dragcoup.287385/
I thought the vintage era door to cowl looked near spot on but the hood to cowl was off...What I was thinking is they were out at the roof raising Top done first doors done separately and incorrectly...Again not saying the chop was shit just may have required a re-slice and reweld OR it could have been body to frame or hinge issues.
