Well I got that out of my system, kind of a sad reunion. Car is 95% as I sold it, and way overpriced IMO. Well worth the trip, and it has me focused on my Roadster project now. I even sold off a non HAMB friendly (by 2 years) project that gives me some funds for current keepers. Bob

It looks like a T but what body style?

I heard the 30 Model A pickup I built back in the early 70's was for sale a few years ago and looked forward to seeing it and thought about trying to buy it back but when I saw the pickup it had been turned into a confused street rod.

High back bucket seats with embroidered "1930" in the drives seat and "Ford" in the p***enger seat.

Hugh billet wheels with rubber band tires.

The metal bed cover now had a goofy 3 foot tall wing on the back!

The list could go on for another 2 pages but I wouldn't have the truck if it was given to me..it was a fugly circus wagon! HRP

What is it? and I wouldnt ask but since you are not buying it, what was the price?
If the guy knew you were wanting it back before he priced it, he may have jacked the price a little.

Sorry it turned out to be somewhat less than what you hoped, but since its out of your system now all the regrets of letting it go will subside. We can't keep all of our old cars, situations change.

Funny the subject of Pintos came up, I think I may have just found at least some of my first car...

I went to get my first roadster back in 1978. (sold it in 1962) OMG... my '29 channeled over Deuce rails had now changed! (can you imagine? Someone had a better idea?)
I had a nice trad look, but now the hood flange was chopped off, and a steel (?) firewall flatly welded onto the front quarters & cowl. Real smooth...like a Newhouse gl*** job. Yuck! My Deuce rails were chopped off, and some iron welded in there to extend the frame. My '37 tube axle had been cut off outside the wishbone bosses, and some 1.5" steel plate torch cut into some drops...welded onto my poor old tube.
(Sniff...) Body was further ****d, doors were welded shut, all the way up and down the door gaps.
A Chevy rear axle was hung from some semi elliptics, my '40 rear was long gone, Deuce center member cut open for a Chevy 3 speed. No telling what engine they planned on...frame was extended a foot in front.
The car sat real strange...like a field find...something converted into a farm implement...
I had 'unsettling feelings'...if a 'progressive' had asked me how I felt, I mighta showed him!
