  1. How cool! Merlins go for HUGE bucks, I can see why you sold it. I hope all the small engines can go to good homes, they are historical masterpieces in themselves, though not so glamorous! I hope noby bitches they are OT!

  2. Yep, big bucks there! I've got a friend who specializes in building those for Reno racers. He's always looking for cores. That's why I asked about it.
So with the Foyt on FI are you going to run it again on the salt?

That's got to be one of the coolest stories on this site. I'm only 60 miles from Wellsville and my parents used to live there. What a cool buy. Too bad it couldn't be all kept together for the history of it all. I would have paid to go through it.

yes, will be back on the salt. Between work, family, house move, shop move, and racing two other series/genres, Bonneville hasnt been a priority.

  5. Neat. This will help push me toward that "Bucket List" item.

Thanks for sharing more pictures of the motors......If you still have any of them.......you should come back up north and go to the 'McClouth Threshing Bee' or to the Fort Scott 'Pioneer Harvest Fiesta' & bring some of those old "Pop"......"Tick"......."Pop"....motors along.

That is cool! This thread brings back some memories, my brother Dan purchased a Coyote from AJ Agathanian. He purchased parts from Foyt and spent the day with his mechanoc tape recording how to put the motor back together. Here is a picture of the motor
