Found some interesting parts in the local wrecking yard last weekend. Gonna clean up the front suspension add some lowered uprights and stuff it under my '52 fleetline that has no front suspension... And a pic of my fleetline

Every once in a while the junkyard gives up some cool old iron. Didn't ever really want to go. A couple of buddies pushed me into going that day. It was a good day

Damn, that poor car looks completely rust free.

The car actually has a loty of rust in the inner structure and along the bottom of the body. I have seen a lot worse though. Almost never see the old one is the j-yard anymore...

Thanks. I got it in April of this year. Still collecting parts for it. My goal is to build it into a mid to late '50s custom. So far the newest parts i have for it are the 1955 Olds headilghts. Really hope to have it a driver by next summer. We will see if I can pull it off.

They are great. You just never know what you will find when you go. This was a real find for me. I almost bought a mustang II front clip for the fleetline. Now I am glad I didn't. Part of the fun of old cars for me is the way they drive with the old suspension. Gonna clean the suspension up, cut the coils and drive it that way. Simple and it works the way it was designed to.
