It sounds like your buddy who wants one needs to go see them with cash greenies in his pocket for what he is willing to pay. A fist full of 100 $$$$ bills waved under the nose can change a persons mind about such things pretty fast a fair portion of the time.

If that is the case, I just might have to come down and pick up a few, to hell with the model A's, Locate a few 32 Fords for sale at your comparative price and let me know.

To me, the value of that car would be the condition of the body that we can't see. What is the body like at the bottom? You have seen the bottom and we haven't. If the body was as solid as the top in the pictures, I think they are closer than you are.

Years ago if guys couldn't sell there cars here locally for the price they wanted, they would take them down south to Ga. or Florida. They could usually sell them in a week or two, for the price they wanted. In this economy you probably can't sell anything for what it's really worth.

I don't know what it looks like now, I can't get that close. Ten years ago it was rust free. The original owner was a car mechanic for a local Ford Dealer and he took good care of it.

Have they never heard of CL or ebay before? Both good ways to find out how much something is worth and actually sell it at the same time. Doesn't sound like they care that much.

and $10/hr!? We need some people like you over on this side of the country. Do they think they are going to get it restored at a cheaper rate than that?

Yeah, I paid $1,000 for my 31 Tudor body in 2006 and it was missing a door, visor, and needed metal work. Last month I bought just about the most perfect 30 coupe body for $4500 so I agree, somewhere in the 3K-4K for that tudor, it looks really nice.
