Folks Of Interest Four wheel drive and Nailheads

Just saw this picture on another site. I thought it was worth sharing. Tommy Ivo was one of the best promoters of Hot Rodding!

 

As a kid I saw this car run against the "Lil' Screamer" (wheel stander '33 Ford altered w/b) for exhibition back in the day at the then famous Rockford Dragway (now Byron Dragway).

I want to say it was the summer of '64 or '65. They gave the Lil' Screamer a flying head start and TV Tommy just rolled the smoke off all four for a full 1/4 mile! What a sight!!!

As Ron Leek would say, "WOW!!! UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE!!!"
